2016 CRRF Annual General Meeting

Please join us for the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation (CRRF) to be held on Thursday, October 13th from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Holiday Inn, Guelph, Ontario. Everyone is welcome. 
CRRF was founded in 1987 as a non-partisan voluntary network to foster the welfare of rural Canada through collaborative research on policy, development trends and patterns, and rural problems and opportunities. With over six hundred practitioners, researchers, policy advisors, instructors, community members, NGOs, and other network members across Canada, and internationally, CRRF collaborates through annual conferences, workshops, seminars, a great diversity of research, public commentary, publications, and other activities. 2016 Assemblée générale annuelle de FCRR

Vous êtes invités à assister à l’Assemblée générale annuelle de la Fondation canadienne pour la revitalisation rurale (FCRR) qui se tiendra Holiday Inn à Guelph (Ontario) de 1630 à 1800 jeudi le 13 octobre 2016. Bienvenue à tous. 
La FCCR a été fondé en 1987 comme un réseau volontaire et indépendant voué au bien-être du Canada rural par des recherches partenariales sur les politiques publiques, sur la compréhension des dynamiques rurales, sur l’identification des problèmes ruraux et des voies de solution. Avec plus six cents intervenants, chercheurs, fonctionnaires, enseignants, membres des communautés rurales, organisations non-gouvernementales et d’autres réseaux ruraux canadiens et internationaux, la FCRR organise des conférences rurales annuelles, des ateliers, des séminaires et une grande vérité de recherches, d’avis, de publications, etc. Pour plus d’information sur la FCRR, voir :


Proposed Bylaw Amendment 

On behalf of the CRRF Board of Directors I am writing to notify you of a proposed motion to revise the Foundation’s bylaws that will be presented at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on October 13, 2016. 

At the upcoming AGM a motion has been prepared to revise the Foundation’s bylaws. The board is responsible for reviewing our bylaws from time to time to ensure they are up to date. A sub-committee of the board reviewed our current bylaws and has proposed one revision for the upcoming AGM. The Foundation’s  current bylaws and proposed revised bylaws can both be found on the CRRF website. The proposed revision is briefly noted below.
  • Page 5, Item 2: Revision to the number of terms a board member may hold before retiring. 
After careful review of the proposed revisions the CRRF board of directors unanimously endorsed the proposed revisions for approval at the upcoming AGM. As per our current bylaws, all member of the Foundation are receiving at least 20 days notice before the AGM to review this proposal. The board welcomes questions, comments, or concerns about the proposed revisions. Please do not hesitate to contact me ( or a member of the board.
