LG outperforms market as Monitor sales through Western European Distribution fall by -15% in first two months of Q4 2012
12th December 2012 (London, UK): Results now available from CONTEXT’s Western European Distribution Panel show that unit sales of Monitors fell by -15% year-on-year in the first two months of Q4 2012.
However, LG increased its unit sales by +43% for the period, enabling it to move into third position, behind market leaders Samsung and HP.
LG’s growth was driven principally by France, where unit sales doubled year-on-year, though Germany’s performance was also significant, with sales increasing by over +50% for the period. The E42 range has been LG’s top seller, accounting for over one third of their Q412 sales to date.
