Hi One Million Lights Supporter,

 Since thIdonesia Mother and Child 4e Spring we have    distributed lights in Nepal,  India, Tanzania, Kenya,          Indonesia, and the  Philippines. 

To date we have distributed over  42,000 solar  lights.  Please  enjoy reading our heart  warming stories from the  summer.

Transmara School, Kenya

Family Light 2One Million Lights and Energizer teamed up to distribute 1000 solar lanterns to families of 7 different schools in the Transmara area of Kenya, reaching more then 2500 people.

Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya

IMG_3993-smallIn August 2013, One Million Lights(OML) partnered with the United Nation High Council for Refugees(UNHCR) and the Lutheran World Federation(LWF) to distribute solar lanterns in the Kakuma Refugee camp in Northern Kenya.

Ambassador Mackenzie O'Donnell promotes education and health in Nepal

IMG_0916 2Before I left the Monastery I distributed 48 Nokero solar light blubs to the health clinic for distribution to the people living in the town. I know they will be put to excellent use.
