Rochester RHIO Commences Search for Executive Director
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester RHIO has commenced a national search for an executive director, following the pending departure of long-time leader Ted Kremer. Ted is moving back to Connecticut to be closer to family, and will leave his role effective October 16.
Over the coming weeks, interim leadership of the organization will transition to Rochester RHIO Associate Director Jill Eisenstein.
“The Rochester RHIO is one of the most respected and successful health information exchanges in the United States, thanks to a deeply experienced management team and staff, outstanding infrastructure, and a veteran Board of Directors,” said Bryan Hetherington, Board chairperson. “We fully expect its momentum to continue during a seamless leadership transition.
“On behalf of the entire Board, our staff and our partners across the region, I can’t thank Ted enough for his countless contributions to the RHIO, and for advancing the state of healthcare in the region. We wish him and his family the best.”
“Working with the Rochester RHIO to help the community realize its care improvement goals has been the privilege of a lifetime,” said Mr. Kremer. “The RHIO management team is now the strongest it has ever been, we’ve added staff to further bolster an already great organization, and our goals are balanced with committed state, federal, grant and hospital funding. The next few years will see even greater things for the Rochester RHIO.”
The national search is anticipated to take several months, with the objective of having an executive director named by early 2016.
