Magda Belloti, soprano, and Talitha Peres, piano, make their UK debut with a programme of art songs from their native Brazil, including standards by Villa-Lobos and Santoro alongside lesser-known gems. Both are recipients of numerous awards in Brazil in recognition of their work in the promotion of Brazilian repertoire, including the release of their new album, Paisagens Musicais, featuring several world premiere recordings of songs by major Brazilian composers.

Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London, multi-award-winner Dimitris Dekavallas already boasts three albums and has established himself as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation. Much in demand as a soloist worldwide, Dimitris has toured four continents, including performances for Pope Benedict XVI and the Archibishop of Canterbury. Dimitris has also performed across the UK's major venues, including Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, and has appeared at major guitar festivals such as the London Classical Guitar Festival and the London International Guitar Festival. Making his ILAMS solo debut, he offers a feast of Latin music with this all-Latin-American programme.

Sigamos Duo

The Sigamos violin-guitar duo present a programme of music from Argentina, including a selection of nuevo tango. Violinist, composer and arranger Ros Stephen is a founding member of the renowned tango quartet Tango Siempre. Her recent performance work has included two West End runs and three UK tours of the hit show Midnight Tango starring Flavia Cacae and Vincent Simone (of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing), as well as numerous appearances on BBC TV and radio. Javier Fioramonti is a tango guitarist, bass player, composer and producer who has performed extensively in Argentina, the UK and Europe. A founding member of the salsa band Salsa Celtica, he regularly composes for De Wolfe, a well know music production company based in London, and his music is played regularly on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and SKY.

Russian State Ballet & Opera House: Bizet's 'Carmen'

After the success of UK performances of La Bohème and Madame Butterfly earlier this year, theRussian State Ballet and Opera House brings you another world-class opera: Carmen. An opera in four acts by French composer Georges Bizet, Carmen is a timeless story of love, jealousy, and violence in the Spanish city of Seville during the 19th century, and has become one of the world’s best-loved operas. This performance is semi-staged and costumed, features a 30-piece orchestra and is sung in French with surtitles.
