The 2nd Spanish Song and Zarzuela Festival Returns

Spanish Song & Zarzuela FestivalILAMS is proud to be collaborating once more this October with the 2nd Spanish Song and Zarzuela Festival. Our concert, 'Spanish Promenade', which takes place at St Martin-in-the-Fields on 23rd October, is just one of x12 events on offer across various London venues, including lectures and film screenings.

Casa Latin American Theatre Festival - Opens Tonight + Win tickets!

CASA FestivalFrom 2-11 October, the
 celebratory festival of Latin American theatre, music and culture returns to Barbican & Rich Mix. Highlights include true-life Mexican thriller Montserrat, Mariachi-backed tales of the US-Mexican Border in Border Mass and more. Check out the full line-up at Rich Mix here:

Plus ILAMS has teamed up with CASA to offer the chance to win 2 tickets to Neverwhere Beckett - a brilliantly madcap Brazilian take on Samuel Beckett on Thu 8 & Fri 9 Oct next week. Prepare to be taken on an exciting ride through Spanish 20th-century song with Spanish soprano and Winner of the Ana María Iriarte de Zarzuela Competition, Mónica Campaña Romero, and Spanish-French pianist Ricardo Gosalbo, as they explore various composers and styles that make up the unforgettable song repertoire of modern Spain, with a programme comprising opera, zarzuela and art song tinged with flamencotango and tonadilla.

The 2nd Spanish Song and Zarzuela Festival offers a musical journey from the Argentine tangos of Astor Piazzolla and the Mexican songs of Manuel Ponce, ending at the Iberian Peninsula - itself a true melting pot, with sounds and flavours served by composers from Madrid, Castile, Catalonia, the Basque Country and Valencia. The Artistic Committee is proud to present twenty fabulous young artists of different nationalities brought together by their love of Spanish and Latin American music.
