Student Media Festival 2012
The Creative Loop Student Media Festival 2012 has just been announced, and we are already working hard to build on the success of the 2011 event.
Next year the festival will take place at the CCA in Glasgow on the 28th - 29th March 2012.
The festival is an amazing opportunity to socialise, network and learn directly from industry leaders, household name talent and other media students.
The 2011 festival saw keynote speeches from Greg McHugh (Gary Tank Commander / Fresh Meat) and Peter Mullan (Neds, Trainspotting, My Name is Joe), plus a masterclass from James Farrell (Mrs Brown's Boys) and many more workshops and seminars from a who's-who of national public and commercial radio.
The two day festival is now the jewel in the crown of the student media calender, which now ends with the Creative Loop Student Awards - recognising the best in radio, television and digital media. The awards and nomination process in 2011 directly led to Creative Loop students getting their ideas commissioned by BBC Scotland Online, no mean feat, and one we're keen for you to repeat.
Details of how to participate in this free event, plus submission requirements for the Student Awards 2012 will follow in subsequent newletters, so be sure that you subscribe personally, plus you can find extensive coverage of the 2011 festival at creativeloop.org, including recording of full sessions, interviews with some of the special guests.
