Artist of the Month

lang_photoTHUMB
Helen Lang - A native of Newfoundland, Canada, I have lived all over the world, but for the last 30 years I have lived in Lyndonville, Vermont.

While my mediums of choice are acrylics and watercolor, I’ve been inspired by and have worked in many of the art forms I’ve seen in my travels. A self-taught artist, I started painting while trying to encourage my son to take up art.

lang
As an avid fisherman, I spend countless hours with my husband and grandchildren surrounded by the natural beauty of Vermont, and this is where I find most of my subjects. I enjoy painting landscapes, animals and plants, and as a mixed medium artist, paint them on canvas, leaves, feathers, and other materials. I also find enormous pleasure when someone else appreciates my work.

I love the relaxation of painting and how I can lose myself in the paintings whiles creating them. My work is also on display at the Artful Eye, St. Johnsbury

Handcraft Artisan of the Month

BARTLETTphotoTHUMBHarvey Bartlett -  Harvey creates wonderful hardwood puzzle and ornaments from wood which he selects. Each puzzle has the name of the subject 'in' the puzzle.

Time Capsule

MEMORY1As we continue in our fifth year, we will feature some pics to stir memories.. Look for a great celebration in November as we mark our 5th Anniversary.

This was our first space that had been a Dunkin Donuts. After a little trim and paint, we opened on November 17, 2007 with former Governor Jim Douglas cutting the ribbon.
