We Welcome and Give Comfort—Even in the Summertime!
During the summer months, Al-Anon members love to visit groups outside of their local area, especially when on vacation! It can be the thrill of a member’s vacation to visit an Al-Anon group in a faraway place! It could also be a necessity. So, always welcome visitors (and everyone) with the warmth and comfort we so freely offer.
Here are a few suggestions to carry out the spirit of Tradition Five:
- Always make sure that your meeting information is current.
- Place directional signs around the facility that lead to your meeting room.
- Inform visitors about your meeting format—is it a Step study group, literature study, topic/discussion, etc. and tell them how the group shares—around the table, raise hands, etc.
