The big audience presentation at the awayday, conference or team-builder is always a dilemma. There's a lot riding on it.
You can get a speaker who got a bronze for running the third leg in a relay race a decade ago; but at some point there will be a joke about lunchboxes and baton-size. You can go for a proper comedian, but what's the message? You can get a small, medium or large chap from Top Gear starting at about 10k; occasionally funny and relevant only for the petrol heads in the audience.
They will do about an hour. I'll do an hour, but I'd just as soon have two. Or at least 90 minutes. In fact, give me the whole afternoon, from the difficult flat-spot at 2pm to the CEO's close at 4.45pm. Give me your objectives and I guarantee it will be educational, inspirational, interactive and entertaining.
