Tahir Academy - The Home of Atfal and Nasirat
As we approach the end of the first year of establishing Tahir Academies, nationwide, there is a lot to share. But it’s all old news: The Atfal and Nasirat attendance has more than doubled, number of parent volunteers serving these 25 Tahir Academies has peaked over 100 and Jamaat’s financial support has crossed six digits. Alhamdulillah!
While all of this old news is good news, let us share with you an even better news: we have a new tagline. Our logo now reads: “Tahir Academy – the home of Atfal and Nasirat.”
Yes. That’s precisely what it is. An infrastructure where our auxiliaries could peak their potential. Please update your local materials and handbooks to reflect this update.
Last month, we held a day-long meeting with the respected Sadran of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and Lajna Imaillah (and their teams). We not only tied operational lose ends, but also developed a future understanding to synchronize the Atfal and Nasirat syllabi. Everyone wants to do it right though. So please remain patient as we develop a unified syllabus. We will keep you posted.
In the interim, please keep using the existing syllabi and tests of the auxiliaries for their respective classes. Keep your Board engaged. Consider inviting the Nazim Atfal and Secretary Nasirat to the board meetings. Let there be no ambiguity about the fact that Tahir Academy does not replace Atfal/Nasirat classes.
The list of Jamaats with a functional Tahir Academy is pasted below. If you are considering starting a Tahir Academy in your Jamaat, consult with the auxiliary heads, secretary Tarbiyat, and local missionary right from the get go. All Tahir Academies should include both male and female students. There should be no Atfal-only or Nasirat-only Tahir Academies as our goal is to serve the educational needs of Ahmadi boys and girls, equally.
