In a victory for EMBARQ Andino, Peru’s legislature passed the 2013 Municipal Management and Modernization Plan continuing a 2012 initiative to motivate and reward local governments for taking steps toward improved road safety, public spaces, and non-motorized transport. (read more)

The panel hosted by EMBARQ India and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation looked at the next round of the city-modernisation scheme launched by the Indian Ministry of Urban Development. Discussions revolved around policy incentives and requirements for land use and transport integration, and monitoring key mobility parameters.  (read more)
