Nov 6th Feeding Webinar

ffd-heart It's been a busy year, with clients, webinars, and the (near) completion of my second book, Helping Your Child with Extreme Picky Eating: a Step-by-Step Guide for Overcoming Selective Eating, Food Aversions, and Feeding Disorders due May 1, 2015 from New Harbinger Publications. My co-author is Jenny McGlothlin, the speech therapist (runs a feeding program at UT Dallas Callier) I quoted in chapters 3 and 4 of Love Me, Feed Me.

In addition, my family and I are about 1/4 of the way through a year of living and traveling (and working!) in a used RV! Tech issues and time constraints are a challenge, but I am grateful for the chance to see so much of America and meet so many new people.
I'm looking forward to next week's webinar for adoptive and fostering parents dealing with feeding challenges. Spread the word!
You may have noted that these emails were quarterly, but will now change to share news as it happens.

Enjoy fall!

Live webinar 7 PM Central Time, November 6th with Adoption Learning Partners. Click HERE for information and registration.

Adoptive and fostering parents will learn:

  • Strategies to reduce conflict and anxiety around food, plus what to expect in the transition
  • How meal and snack routines help picky eating and food preoccupation
  • How to introduce and serve foods so that children to tune in to cues of hunger and fullness
  • What to put on the table other than “kid” food
  • How to avoid the most common counterproductive feeding “mistakes”
Live Q and A after! Stay tuned!

When I listen to adoptive and foster parents, and the professionals who support them, they tell me that after sleep, worries (and power struggles) about growth and nutrition are the second most common challenge. It doesn't have to be so hard...
