As health care transformation continues, nurses are increasingly called upon to lead and participate in collaborative improvement efforts.  The ability to foster interprofessional collaboration among health care providers and navigate interprofessional conflict are key skills needed by nurses for this expanding role.

This highly interactive and experiential session will explore the underpinnings of culturally influenced styles of conflict and how we can turn conflict into opportunities for human connections and the inter-professional collaboration needed to keep the promise of inclusion in the transformation of care delivery.

A new piece of legislation is being considered which would add a $9 surcharge to all RN and LPN exam and renewal fees to establish the Nursing Workforce Advancement Fund. This fund will be directed to support the Oregon’s Center for Nursing’s work around research and data analysis, as well as to convene nursing groups together to address the most pressing issues that affect the nursing workforce.
