Leadership - Job Title?
Or Something More?

The Oregon Center for Nursing recently released its latest infographic on nurses attitudes towards leadership.  The graphic uses recent data from the Oregon Research Initiative on the Organization of Nursing (ORION) study.

Findings from the survey contained both good and bad news.  The good news - 78% of Oregon nurses feel prepared to assume leadership roles.  The bad news - only 58 % of nurses are likely to seek out leadership opportunities.
What Is
"The Nurse Effect?"
ONLC Sponsors Discussion on Oregon Nurse Faculty
The Oregon Center for Nursing's 2015 fundraiser had a theme of "The Nurse Effect," which prompted many to ask: What exactly is the nurse effect?
Well, if you want to better understand "The Nurse Effect," just ask Joy Behar or Michelle Collins of ABC's The View.

More than thirty nurse educators and stakeholders from around Oregon gathered to discuss the struggle to recruit and retain nurse faculty in Oregon on Friday, October 16, 2015. The event, sponsored by the Oregon Nurse Leadership Collaborative (ONLC), aimed to provide data about current nurse faculty in Oregon, and discuss recruitment and retention strategies.
