We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our inaugural "Race for Open Space" 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, April 20th! We are co-hosting this very exciting event with Bluff Lake Nature Center.
The 5K will start at 9 a.m. at Bluff Lake Nature Center: 3400 Havana Way in Denver. The off-road course will wind along the beautiful Sand Creek Regional Greenway through Denver and Aurora, and finish with a loop around Bluff Lake. The race will include prizes for best costumes, largest teams, biggest pledge-earners, and fastest runners!
Kids Fun Run & Earth Day Fest

We will kick off the Race for Open Space with a Kids Fun Run, which is free and suggested for kids 7 and under. The kids run will begin promptly at 8:50.
After the 5K, stick around for an Earth Day Festival from 10 am to 2 pm, featuring live music, food trucks, environmental crafts and games, and a live raptor presentation from Wild Wings Environmental Education!
There is a $5 suggested donation for the Earth Day Festival. All proceeds from the 5K and Earth Day Festival will benefit the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership and Bluff Lake Nature Center.
By participating, you will help fund public recreation and natural areas in Aurora and Denver, as well as important environmental education programs for urban youth!
