From Mr. Mackey:

Urban Design TREK Wrap-up
TAG's Social Studies Urban Design TREK "In the Neighborhood" wrapped up on Tuesday, September 30 as the students presented their proposals to a panel of judges, including representatives from the City of Dallas, Matthews Southwest, Big Thought, and the bcWorkshop. The goal of this project was to have teams of students explore the community of the 10th Street and Bottoms neighborhoods that Townview exists within and develop a plan for development that would suit the community, regulatory, economic, and physical needs of the area and act as a bridge between Townview and the community. And, to put it simply, the students knocked the project out of the park. If you are interested, check out one of the projects by clicking here.

The success of TREK could not have been possible without the immense support from the PTSA and parents who were able to provide donations and time. Thank you so much for your constant support of our kiddos! This year's TREK would also not have been possible without the immense amount of work that Ms. Ellis and Ms. Greer put in behind the scenes. When you see them, be sure to thank them as well!

A special note of appreciation from Ms. Ellis:

Thank you to all of the parents who came out to support TREK. Our school thrives as a result of the love and support from our TAG parents, and seeing so many parents willing and able to do the heavy lifting to make such a large event succeed was inspiring.  We had such a great turnout of parent support that I may have missed someone's name; however, your contributions are appreciated nonetheless.
