Located across the street from ForYourArt at 6020 Wilshire Blvd.

12 p.m. Saturday, April 20 to
12 p.m. Sunday, April 21

Los Angeles – (April 12, 2013) For this durational 24-hour performance installation, designed specifically for ForYourArt’s Around the Clock event to celebrate LACMA’s 24-hour screening of Christian Marclay’s The Clock, Dawn Kasper constructed DONUTS & CLOCKS, a piece created to host a schedule of donut and clock-themed events staged in a carnivalesqe environment.

Events include handmade donuts by Eden’s Herbals with lovely tasting sweet and savory glazes and toppings. Flavors include lavender and lemon, citrus and thyme, and salty chocolate to name a few. On location in the ForYourArt at 6020 Wilshire Blvd. space, Eden’s Herbals and Dawn Kasper will work together to create handmade donuts fresh right before your very eyes. These edible sculptures will be available for a limited time during the mornings of April 20th and 21st, with Bob’s Donuts of Farmer’s Market available during the rest of the 24-hour performance.

DONUTS & CLOCKS also features an exhibition of 100 clocks customized by artists through an open call. The clocks will be on view and available to purchase for $99 each.

Other events include a late night karaoke party hosted by DJ Amy Von Harrington, a tiny crazy dance party in the wee morning hours, and KCHUNG radio broadcasting live and streaming on the entire event.

Each iteration of Around the Clock reflects ForYourArt’s ongoing exploration of new ways to frame and promote arts activities.
