North Cobb High School 2015-2016

We want to keep our parents as up to date and informed as possible. That being said, If you know of anyone who has not been receiving these newsletters please have them contact myself, Liana Parker, and I will try and rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Fees for the season are due in full by October 1, 2015. We encourage you to make monthly payments to make it easier on the wallet. Payments can be made this summer via PayPal through the link on the band website, or, mail a check to NCHS Band Booster, P.O. Box 539, Acworth, GA. 30101. Once band camp starts you can use the box at the back of the band room.


You should have already received your band statement. Please contact Beth Atkinson at if you did not get one so that we can verify the email address listed in the system. If you have any questions about charges or payments please contact Beth as soon as the issue arises.

Volunteer Training

If you are planning on working with the kids in any way this season, then it is mandatory that you attend one of the training nights listed below.....

Seasoned Chaperone training will be held at North Cobb High School on July 23rd at 7:30 PM

New Chaperone training will be held at North Cobb High School on July 28th at 7:30 PM

You can also sign up for other parent volunteer positions on these nights!

VOLUNTEERS are ALWAYS needed and we are sure there is something for everyone.

*We have positions for frontline, chaperones, welcome committee, hospitality, fundraising and many more.
You can also contact any of the board members to let them know of your interest.*
There will be a mandatory meeting for all band and color guard parents on Tuesday, July 21st, at 7:00pm.

Band Camp Dates and Times

  • July 16th and 17th, full band, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
  • July 20th thru July 24th, Mandatory camp, full band, 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • July 27th thru July 31st, Mandatory camp, full band, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • August 4th and 6th, Practice, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • August 10th, Practice, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • August 11th and 13th, Practice, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • October 3rd, Mandatory, all day rehearsal, 9:00 am - 9:00 pm


  • June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
  • July 14th 6:00pm to 9:00 pm

**If your student is going to miss one of the practices for color guard, please contact either Pierre Brown or Renee Brown via text to their mobiles. If you do not have this contact information please contact Renee Brown at


Parents, please help us help your children. Below is a list that will help keep your student safe and comfortable during band camp. They will be spending a great deal of time outside, so please dress for the heat. No jeans. Please make sure they are well hydrated and have eaten lunch prior to coming to the school. We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

WATER BOTTLE - We will provide coolers to refill them throughout the day.

CLOSED TOED SHOES - no flip flops or sandals.

Comfortable, appropriate clothing. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray.

Pencil, music, instrument, reeds, valve oil, etc to keep your instrument functioning.

DINNER - They will get a dinner break. Please send them with a sack meal or make arrangements to bring them something. Students cannot leave the school campus on beak. It is important that everyone eat properly to avoid issues with heat and energy levels.

Pizza Night will be held on July 23rd from
9:30 PM to 11:30 PM


The band will be attending the DCI show at the Atlanta Georgia Dome on July 25th (Time TBA)

This is a great show and lots of fun for everyone!


Family Day is a fun day for everyone! Please come out and support our kids!

Practice runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Lunch will be provided for the students.

There will be fun activities such as water games and bouncy houses.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet other parents, purchase meals and some of this year's very cool spirit wear.

At 7:00 PM we have the awesome opportunity to see just a little of the hard work that the kids have been doing all summer!
