As the New Year starts we wish you and yours all the best in 2011. May we all enjoy good health, great friendships and love, and success in our cherished endeavours.

Awareness Through Movement classes resume next week, on Tuesday, January 11. We have three scheduled classes a week:  Tuesday at 6 pm, Wednesday at 7 pm, and Friday at 9:30 am at our studio, 2515 McBain Ave. If one of your New Year's resolutions was to take better care of yourself this year, Feldenkrais classes are a great way to meet your goal. In an Awareness Through Movement class you are guided through a series of movement sequences that you do at your own pace and comfort level while paying attention to how your whole body moves with, and responds to, the movements. You learn the art of mindful movement and will discover new flexibility in mind, and body. You will be amazed at the power of the subtle movements and their impact on your daily activities.

If you have not been to a class in awhile we hope you will decide to come back this winter. If you are new to our classes your
first class is only $10.

Individual Functional Integration sessions resume today and are available by appointment. It is not too late to give a private session as a holiday gift to someone you care about.  And anytime is a good time to give a birthday gift or "I care about you" gift.

Winter Workshops

Can't make a weekly class? Or want to combine classes with more in depth exploration of a theme? Our workshops are designed with you in mind. We have several exciting workshops planned for this winter. All require advanced registration.

Free Your Jaw, Neck and Shoulders - Sunday January 30, 10 am - 1pm.  Learn how to integrate the movements of the jaw, neck and shoulders to ease tension and organize yourself for easier movement.  Only 3 spaces remain in this workshop; register now to ensure you don't miss out.
Posture Perfect - Sunday February 27, 10 am - 1pm. 
Experience good posture without feeling you have to pull your shoulders back or sit up straight all the time.
Sounder Sleep™- Monday March 14, 6-9 pm.
Learn gentle breathing and movement techniques to help you fall asleep easily or return to sleep after night time awakenings. 
Flexible Chest and Back - Saturday March 19, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. Discover how a flexible chest and ribs can help free your spine, shoulders and assist your breathing and other movements. 
Happy Feet - Sunday April 10, 10 am - 1pm.
Learn how to use your feet to support activities such as standing, walking, running, dancing and others.

 Advanced registration is required for all workshops. Register now so you don't miss out!
