Reflecting on 15 Years of Summerfair

Summerfair – our region’s most recognizable and prestigious art fair – is also one of Wordsworth Communication’s longest standing clients. We’ve offered public relations support for the fair for 15 years. Each year the fair has seen an increase in media coverage and an increase in attendance – with a couple exceptions when Mother Nature got in the way, producing inclement weather.

You can trace the evolution of public relations in the years we’ve worked with Summerfair. In the early years, outreach to reporters by email was nearly unheard of. Fax, phone, and manually dropping off media kits were the norm. Media websites were unsophisticated, and we got the word out about Summerfair primarily through placements in newspapers, TV broadcasts and radio programming.

  Hagen featured in Forbes Woman

ForbesWoman.gifWordsworth Senior Account Executive Danielle Hagen was included in an article in the July 12th Forbes Woman magazine about the value of taking on a second job.

Besides working at Wordsworth, Danielle is an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches courses in public relations. In a typical quarter she teaches Introduction to Public Relations and/or Public Relations Writing.

“I enjoy teaching because it provides an opportunity to impart valuable and the most up-to-date information that will help my students succeed in their careers,” Danielle said. “And, it’s a forum to share my love for my profession with the next generation of PR practitioners.”

Congratulations to the Freestore Foodbank

FSFB_Logo_for_NRs.jpgOur client the Freestore Foodbank raised $120,000 at its annual Taste of the NFL event. That’s enough to provide 400,000 meals to needy families across the Cincinnati region.
