Field Day- Volunteers Needed!

Field Day at Francis Wyman will take place on Thursday, June 21st. The rain date is scheduled for Friday, June 22nd. The P.E. staff is looking for parent volunteers for either one or both of the sessions to help supervise the activities and work the water stations. Check in for the first session (K,1,2) is 8:00AM and check in for the second session (Grades 3-5) is at 10:45AM. Anyone volunteering for Field Day must have a current CORI report on file. Looking for Garden Volunteers

The students at FW spend time planting, watering, and maintaining a vegetable garden on the back of our property.  We are looking for families to be garden caregivers over the summer.  This job includes watering, weeding, and harvesting! We will assign one family to each week during the summer beginning on June 24th.  If you are interested, please email Mrs. Conley in the office at conley@bpsk12.org THANK YOU!

COMMUNITY NEWS
 
* Burlington Science Center’s Summer Visiting Animal Program
 
The Burlington Science Center is looking for homes for some of its animals over Summer vacation. ● Gerbils (easy-low care) ● Box turtles (eats salad and live insects) ● Rabbits (large cage-needs hours of free roam time/room to be free-high care animal) ● African Clawed Frogs (care similar to fish-eats hand fed worms) ● Painted Turtle (eats live insects-water change-medium care) ● Tarantula (eats live crickets) ● Salamanders (must be hand fed crickets with hand or tweezers) ● Cockatiels & African Grey Parrot (needs to be a teflon/non-stick cookware, scented candles, sensitive chemical free house-bird experience needed) ● Corn snake (eats mice-needs to be kept in freezer) The Science Center will provide cage, STARTER​ food, shavings, & care sheet for the animal. Call Ms. Pavlicek (781)-270-2928 or e-mail pavlicek@bpsk12.org asap if interested. Animals are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. All animals must be picked up by June 14th making an appointment with Ms. Pavlicek.
