UNIVERSITY OF BRIDGEPORT OPPORTUNITY

The University of Bridgeport will be conducting an "Application Workshop" on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the career center for interested seniors.  Students who sign up though Naviance can come to the career center during their lunch wave (5th block - 11:09 - 1:09) and will be able to apply to the University of Bridgeport for FREE with fee-waived applications. Your guidance counselor will provide you with your transcript to give to the University of Bridgeport admissions counselor. Seniors can either bring a print-out of their SAT/ACT scores to the workshop, or they can send scores at a later date.  Senior applicants who provide transcripts and test scores will receive a decision within 2 days of applying.  Accepted applicants will also know what merit scholarships they are eligible to receive right away.  It will be first-come, first-served, so please sign up on Naviance before the event.

The Bank of America Student Leaders® Program is now accepting applications
for the 2016 summer program for
 high school juniors and seniors
residing in or attending school in Stamford.

Since its inception in 2004, the Bank of America Student Leaders Program has recognized more than 2,200 exemplary high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for improving their communities. The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact and helps develop them as the next generation of community leaders through two components:

· An eight-week, paid summer internship with one of three local youth agencies (partner agencies include: Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, Cardinal Shehan Center (Bridgeport) or LEAP (New Haven.) This internship is designed to provide opportunities for the students to develop and apply leadership skills through hands-on work experience, while raising their awareness of community issues addressed by their host organization.

· A week-long, all-expense paid Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. from July 10-15, 2016. Conducted in partnership with the Close Up Foundation, the Summit introduces students to aspects of civic, social and business leadership and provides them with knowledge and skills they will use throughout their life to create positive community change.

Students can apply for the program by going to

Please note the application deadline of
