New Partnerships Will Increase Farmer Incomes in Nigeria, Benin, and Guatemala

Partnering for Innovation is happy to announce three new partnerships that will improve smallholder farmers' productivity and incomes!

In Guatemala, Servicios Post-Cosecha is making certified potato seed available to farmers by establishing a nursery, greenhouse, and outgrower scheme to produce seed potatoes, as well as providing direct market access to buyers of the improved seed. In Nigeria, Babban Gona is establishing smallholder farmer cooperatives that will improve farmers' access to credit, inputs, and vital agricultural information. And in Benin, Tolaro is establishing a cashew processing plant to create the opportunity for value addition for cashew farmers that until now have exported raw cashews for processing, missing out on an important source of increased income.

Funding Opportunities in Zambia and Latin America

Partnering for Innovation is pleased to announce PI-SNAP-Zambia-01, a solicitation for public private partnerships in Zambia. Zambia-registered private sector companies are invited to apply for funding to support increased smallholder farmer access to agricultural inputs and services such as seeds, fertilizer, crop protection products, financial services, and better agricultural and management practices. Partnerships may also expand market access for smallholder farmers through improved services by offtakers and processors.

The full solicitation and application instructions are available on the AgTechXChange here.

Partnering for Innovation is also pleased to announce PI-RFA-05, a solicitation for partnerships that improve food safety in Latin America and the Caribbean. Companies in this region that provide a technology or service that helps improve food safety at any point along the agricultural value chain are encouraged to apply.

The full solicitation and application instructions are available on the AgTechXChange here.
