 | Dear {FIRST_NAME}, Welcome to Issue #8 of In The Frame: the monthly Newsletter brought to you by Giles Babbidge Photography Ltd.
The sharper-eyed among you will note that this edition comes a number of weeks later than usual. A number of factors responsible, but I am glad to say that normal service now appears to be resumed.
Issue #8, then, is a somewhat belated round-up of topics and activities discussed over at the GBP Blog throughout March; I hope you find these highlights both interesting and informative.
Thanks for reading.

Seek and you shall find We have now made it even easier to search the GBP Blog!
In the past, readers have had to scroll through a list of keywords which appears some way down the right-hand side of the page.
Whilst this list still exists, you can now save yourself some time by simply typing what you are looking for in our new Search box, which appears right near the top!

Tools of the trade When it comes to the equipment we use, I am not easily swayed by the marketing man.
In this post, I explained why I still whole-heartedly believe older equipment is still capable of standing up to more recent (and blatantly snazzy) technology. The camera is, after all, a means to an end.

Review and inspire I am passionate about photography. I also have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. And I never get tired of seeing 'behind the scenes' footage showing other photographers (and creatives) at work.
A few shared thoughts about Drew Gardner's new DVD.

NEC show for networking and more March saw another of my yearly trips up to the NEC, this time to visit the Ordnance Survey Outdoors Show.
The show gives me a great opportunity to network and to catch up with people within such related industries, and collaborative follow-up posts are planned, thanks to the co-operation of a number of exhibiting companies.

Where do you come from I thought I'd take a moment to tell you about a neat little widget that you may not be aware of. It's called Feedjit, it's completely free and it might just prove very useful for your own blogging activities.

Did you realise that your office is also a studio? One empty meeting room, one camera, two lights and a plain card background - that's all we needed in order to produce a set of simple yet effective pictures which can now be dropped into one company's website, brochures and all manner of marketing material.
Follow the link below to see our time-lapse video of the shoot.
