|You are invited to dine with RFKM at The Daily Dish tomorrow
Come out and celebrate the end of summer with RFKM at The Daily Dish in Chevy Chase (8301 Grubb Road) on Wednesday, August 20 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Bring your families, friends, and neighbors and enjoy local, seasonal, farm-fresh cuisine all while supporting our fight to bring fresh, whole, nutrient-rich food to Montgomery County Public Schools. Mention that you are with RFKM and a portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to our organization! We look forward to seeing you there!
Did you have your 5 servings today?
RFKM is starting a new fundraiser today called the 5 for 5 Challenge. For 5 days (Sept. 15-19, Maryland Homegrown School Lunch Week) we are challenging MCPS students to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day for 5 days and to raise at least $5/serving to support the work of RFKM. Ideally, students will find 5 sponsors who will each sponsor 5 servings of fruits and vegetables for $25.
There will be special prizes for the child who eats the greatest variety of fruits and vegetables and for the child who raises the most money. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 11 at 5:00 p.m.
We will finish up the week with a celebration on Sept. 19th at 6:30 p.m. at a location to be announced.
To register your kids (or yourself!), e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with parent name, child's name, child's school and fundraising goal (minimum suggested $125). If you also send a photo of your child, we can also add that to the fundraising page (optional).
