Good Stuff in the Pipeline, Come see us in the city and the mountains! As summer comes to a close, I hope you've had a great one... I spent the middle two weeks of August in the cool hills of Arizona in a rejuvenating getaway.
September's Newsletter will follow shortly with a season preview and some exciting news, but before we head into fall, I've got two dates to share with you, one for folks in the Berkshires, one for folks right in Manhattan.

September 8th, at The Stone at 8PM with Special Guests • John Zorn's East Village venue for music-listening is curated in September by Theo Bleckmann.
I'll offer up some completely new material together with some very special guests for this first ever performance at The Stone. Michael Lowenstern and Luke DuBois will be on hand, and a certain very special Czech violinist and singer known to many of you will stop by to throw down with me a little. We'll leave her a surprise for those of you who CAN'T guess, but if you call and ask, I'll tell you, I promise.
Don't forget, The Stone has only 35 seats or so, and there are no advance ticket sales... I don't know exactly what to say about that, but I 'spose it's good to know!
At 10 pm, directly following, consider staying for John Hollenbeck's Claudia Quintet. John and I will be doing some work together, including a show of his on October 5th at The Stone, so stay tuned for that. John got a grammy nomination for his latest work, and is always a must-hear.
See all that Theo's cooked up for you at The Stone in September |

Todd Reynolds with Los Mofos • Todd appears with the Berkshire's finest Jazz, Funk and Brazilian band at Spice, August 30th, 9PM to 12 midnight
Occasionally good fortune and a change of scenery brings me really exciting opportunities.
Jason Ennis, who for me is the premiere guitarist of the Berkshires, has long had this band which might just be the best-named trio of jazz musicians EVER. Though Jason and I have played together for the past couple of years, near the end of the July BoaC festival I joined Los Mofos for a few tunes which got explosive immediately. We decided to go all out for an evening at SPICE in Pittsfield. I realize that most readers won't be driving up to the Berkshires, but some of you might just be in the area, so i won't be silly as to not INVITE you...
I haven't had that many opportunities to play jazz lately, so I'm psyched and very excited to spend the evening with these good friends and great players. If you're anywhere near, I'd love to see you. got requests? send 'em on over...
Todd Reynolds with the The JasonEnnis Trio (aka Los Mofos) Jason Ennis, Guitar Jon Suters. Bass Conor Meehan drums
Thursday, August 30 9PM-midnight At Spice 297 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 413.443.1234

• Are you a blog reader in general? There are so many great writers out there writing about music, tech, politics (god forbid). Now I've never considered myself a writer like some of those I respect so highly, but I might now and then have some insights. My own blog is currently more of a place for notices and resources. I am, however, committed to it eventually being a useful presence on a number of different levels. If you read blogs to get some of your information online, do consider subscribing by clicking on the RSS feed button to the right of the URL field in your browser, and just add the link as a bookmark or into your favorite reader, and enjoy!
• Todd's EP is available on , and should you be interested in one of those CD things, just ask, we sell them direct to you if you reply to this email! (or at CD Baby)

• There's a nice video taken by a Books fan on tour and posted to YouTube. All Violin, all looped and real-time. Two minutes long, starts slow, ends with a bang. (hope you enjoy it.)
