Latina Literary Event - DIRTY GIRLS ON TOP - July 12 - San Jose  Las Sucias are back! The long-awaited sequel to Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez's bestselling debut, THE DIRTY GIRLS SOCIAL CLUB will be released this summer in July. Hostess, Tamaya Garcia of LITERARY LATINAS, a voluntary group supporting established and emerging Latina writers of all genres in San Jose is inviting you for a book launch party of Alisa's newest book, DIRTY GIRLS ON TOP! This will be a festive event with scrumptious bites, beverages and plenty of chisme to go around! The goal is to make this a national event with parties in every major state celebrating the launch. Making an appearance via webcam to read from her newest book is the Queen of Chica lit herself, Ms. Alisa Rodriguez! Also joining will be author Irete Lazo to share her latest work with us.

CINE365 – HIGHLIGHT - Soy Andina/I am Andean SOY ANDINA tells the story of two Peruvians living in New York -a modern dancer Cynthia Paniaguaa raised in Queens, and Nelida Silva, a folkloric dancer from the Andes who both return to Peru to reconnect with roots. Following the screening - Despierta Peru, an original theatrical dance piece mixing Peruvian folkloric and modern dance will be performed by co-star/dancer Cynthia Paniaguaa. Dinner & dancing at Pena Pachamana in North Beach.
You can catch this event on June 26th, 7:30pm at the Brava Theatre in San Francisco's Mission District. Presented by the International Latino Film Society, The Ethnic Dance Festival and Lucuma Films.
