An invitation to join a Facebook group to support photographer JR caught our attention and we had to share! "JR" as he is called, has dedicated his portraits to the celebration of women; especially bringing focus to those in war-torn countries, facing social injustice & poverty.
His mega poster size prints of real women are illegally plastered on buses in Nigeria, the staircases, walls & rooftops of favela homes in Rio and all over 'el mundo'!
Amazingly, private donations keep him moving from country-to-country making an impact with his photography yet risking his own freedom. We are inspired...

Los Monólogos de la Vagina  A special benefit and first ever performance en Espanol of Los Monólogos de la Vagina/The Vagina Monologues at Brava Theatre. Proceeds go to La Casa de las Madres - SF and Casa Amiga, Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
This play is laugh out loud hilarious, insightful, heartfelt and "real" in terms of how we see our bodies and our place in the world. The global movement of VDAY campaigns raise awareness thru theatrical expression in effort to raise funds and revitalize anti-violence organizations.
