FEBRUARY 2010 NEWSDUMPSTER

SUCH A SHORT MONTH, SUCH A LONG SHOWS. WAIT, THAT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT.

An Organ so Great, They Named a Card Suit After it.
Judging by the stacks of heart-shaped chocolate boxes appearing in stores everywhere, we figured it must be getting close to Valentine's day. Since we don't ordinarily celebrate this festive time, we took our best shot at suggesting some heart-themed things to do this February 14th. And the best part is that you don't even need a Valentine:
  • Listen to a song with the word "heart" in it.

  • Visit your cardiologist.

  • Soon after they started dating, Ken prepared for Rebecca a dish he learned from his mom involving chicken hearts. Unfortunately, it turned out that Rebecca had already eaten at the bank. I know this isn't a suggestion, but it's mostly true.

  • Draw a heart on a scrap of paper, tear it out and fold it into an airplane. It's fun and flies poorly.

  • Savor a package of Love Hearts® candy as each romantically-inscribed heart gets mercilessly pulverized or simply melts away into nothingness.

Running Out of West, Part 2.
This Newsdumpster comes to you from the Camping World in Dothan, AL, where the Blue Meanie is in surgery for a water leak. We're into our third week of our Further West Tour 2010, disco-ing our way towards California. If you or someone you know lives along our tour route, this might be the year to invest in platform shoes. Plus, we have a handful of photos from this tour at our MySpace site. We regret to say that more will likely follow.
