WISHING YOU HAPPINESS AND SERENITY THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE INTOXICATING LIQUORS.

Midwesterners Were So Nice, We Thought They Wanted Something.
We returned recently from our annual Into the Cornfield tour of the Midwest and are happy to report that our audience was all ears. Corny humor notwithstanding, we ploughed the Blue Meanie through the likes of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio and Wisconsin. High point: A week at the Honey Creek Resort State Park in Moravia, IA, where we had the indoor water park to ourselves, especially after Ken did his hilarious electric eel impersonation. As if that weren't enough, it was a short drive to Eldon, where we felt strangely at home. We posted some photos on MySpace, if you're so inclined.

Consume, So that Others May Consume.
We always try to stay in Vermont during the Christmas holidays and to spend time with what's left of our families. For some reason, this got us thinking about what Newsdumpster readers might want give during this time of the year. Thus, in the spirit of good cheer and self sacrifice, we present Hungrytown's unbiased top ten gift ideas:

10. Hungrytown CD
 9. Sunday Afternoon CD
 8. Rebecca Hall Sings! CD
 7. Two-year supply of 2010 calendars
 6. Inflatable fishing rod
 5. Attitude
 4. Newly-expanded edition of Let's Do Something in West Townshend, printed on a molecule
 3. Unicycle
 2. Lump of coal
 1. Peaceful co-existence
