Q: How many fans do you have? A: One upstairs, one downstairs, one in storage. Q: What's that ethereal, rushing sound in the background of (Sunday Afternoon's) "The False Bride"? A: Traffic on the FDR Drive, outside our (then) apartment window. Q: Are those nerdy glasses for real? A: The glasses are real, we are not. Q: You've performed in many big cities. How do you navigate the Blue Meanie between all those cars? A: What cars? Q: I hear that Vermonters are not considered very forthcoming. As ex-New Yorkers, how have you adapted to your adopted community? We Won't Settle for #1. The numbers are in--and they add up to Hungrytown. According to data harvested from 157 Folk and Bluegrass DJs last month, your Newsdumpster purveyors rose to the occasion: Top Albums and Songs: Hungrytown at #7, with the songs "One Morning in May," "Rose or the Briar," "Lucille, Lucille" and "Hungrytown Road." Top Songs: "One Morning in May" at #9 and "Rose or the Briar" at #23. Top Artists: Newsdumpster Purveyors at #10. To make matters worse, Hungrytown has been buried under a slag heap of good reviews.
