A NEW YEAR ... of change!
I so hope you had a Merry Christmas and that you are looking forward to what God has for you in 2012! As for me, the past couple of months have been a time of change. I began editing books again after a break of a few years ... and I love it! I found it an honor to work on A Plain Death by Amanda Flower. If you like Amish stories and mysteries, then you'll want to pick up Amanda's novel in summer 2012!
In addition to the editing I've contracted for in 2012, I've taken a job in the broadcasting field. I work for a wonderful company that owns Christian radio stations. Recently, the president of our radio division shared a few stories with staff of lives changed by programs on our stations ~ and I fought tears. Humbling stuff.
I'm writing less these days (because there are only so many hours in a day =), but I'm still very much involved in the world of inspirational communication. I don't know what the future holds, but I hope you'll stay tuned!
One thing that hasn't changed at all is my love for the sea ...
The day after Christmas, Dan, our college boy Matt, and I took a drive north to Carpinteria to exchange a shirt I'd bought in the wrong size. Best mistake I'd made all year. The weather was gorge! After exchanging the shirt, then grabbing some pizza, Dan suggested we stop at the Carpinteria Bluffs on the way home. So we wandered out to the sea, gazed at a beach filled with lazy seals, and even waved at the passing Surfliner train.
Sometimes it's those impromptu stops that make the best memories, am I right?
