Gratitude.

"I'm going to celebrate Thanksgiving by hiding money all over town!" —from Eric in Los Angeles

I loved receiving Eric's email message because it was so full of joy. He told me later that he took a date on his Simply Celebrate outing and they had such a great time. He also told me he got a surprise call soon after their giving adventure: he had won some money in a business card drawing— the exact amount he had hidden around town.

Winning the money back was probably lots of fun for Eric. But I project that the most fun was in the giving. And in the joy of the surprise -- thinking about people's reactions when they came across money in unexpected places. Even though Eric was giving away his own money, I imagine he probably felt a great abundance. I know that when I received his email, I felt abundant. Almost as if I had been the one to hide the money all over town. Or if I had been the one to find it.

I'm using Eric's example as a way for myself to explore ideas about how I can discover places in my life where giving and receiving are one. Spending some time today to write to you seemed like a good place to start! Thanks for helping me feel connected and inspired. I'm full of gratitude.

What are the places in your own life where giving and receiving are one? (If you're inspired to put it in writing, I'd love to hear!)

This sky where we live is no place to lose your wings so love, love, love.
