Our friends at Brad's Deli love cheese and Brad tells us he's looking to expand his selections. Stop by and pick up his New York State aged cheddar cheese with horseradish ($7.99/lb) and pair this with:

We're starting off 2010 with a new look newsletter. We hope you'll let us know what you think. This edition focuses on two great events. On March 1st we team up with Chloe's American Bistro to host a wine dinner featuring Grady Family Vineyards. Then on March 28th we present what we hope will be one of our best ever events, a Gala Festival of Food, Wine and Beer to raise money for the ravaged  Haiti.

Spring Food, Wine  & Beer Festival for Haiti

When we learned of the great human tragedy unfolding in Haiti we, and our friends at the Hudson Elks, along with several area restaurants immediately wondered how we could collaborate to help. 

On Sunday, March 28th from 3 PM to 6 PM, please join us at the Hudson Elks at 99 Park Street in Hudson for a great event. Chloe's American Bistro,  Harvest Cafe,  Horseshoe Pub and Restaurant,  Sofia Ristorante,  Brad's Gourmet Deli, The Texas BBQ Company, and Ristorante Via Alto 27 are already lined up and eager to participate for this great cause and we can promise more to be announced as they join in to support this event. All the restaurants will match food from their menus with wines/beers from Bacon Spirits and our distributors, who have generously agreed to donate their products and time. There will be a silent auction, raffles for great prizes and even live music.

Tickets are $20 if purchased by March 1st and $25 thereafter and are available at the Hudson Elks and Bacon Spirits in Hudson and Northborough..  All proceeds will go to help the people of Haiti.

We urge you to purchase your tickets early. Not only will you save $5 if you get them by March 1st, you will also help us to get help to the people of Haiti sooner.

The "Grady Bunch" comes to Chloe's

Located in the heart of California's Lodi Wine Appellation, the Grady Family Vineyards produces high quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel & Pinot Grigio wine grapes. Chloé - an American bistro, Bacon Spirits and Gilbert Distributors are proud to present the very first wine dinner featuring Grady Family Vineyards in the state of Massachusetts on Monday March 1st.  Our special guests for the evening will be vineyard owners Jim and Beth Grady. Those of you who have been to Matt Landry's wonderful bistro located at the Hudson rotary will no doubt be reaching straight for your phones to reserve your seats.

      Many of you have enjoyed Boston Beer Works' beers on tap before a Red Sox
      game, and by popular demand, now you can take home a six-pack, as three of
      their beers are now available in bottles! Bacon's is happy to be offer you
      the opportunity to try *Boston Red Ale*, a malty Amber Ale and their first
      beer ever brewed, *Fenway Pale Ale*, extra hoppy, dry hopped, and bottle
      conditioned, and *Bunker Hill Bluebeery Ale*, one of the truest and most

      The time for spring seasonals is upon us, and two of your favorite major
      craft brewers have introduced new beers to welcome the Spring.
      

      From Sierra Nevada, replacing the ESB this year comes Glissade, billed
      as a "Golden Bock". Glissade boasts 46 IBUs, exceeding that of their Pale
      Ale, but that bitterness is perfecly balanced by just the right amount of
      golden malts. The two combine for a crisp, sweet, super easy-drinking summer
      treat. Available in 6-packs for $8.99 plus tax and deposit.
      

      From Magic Hat, this spring brings another new beer, a spring lager called
      "Vinyl". Vinyl is a Vienna-style lager, similar in spirit to Sam Adams
      Boston Lager. It brings a bit more of a roastier flavor, like roasted nuts
      and caramel, an herbal hop finish, and superb quaffability. Available in
      6-packs for $8.99 plus tax and deposit, and 12-packs for $14.99 plus tax and
      deposit.
      

            *COMING SOON: MAYFLOWER BREWING*
      Long only available on Cape Cod and in the Boston Area, Mayflower
      Brewing is coming to our very own Metrowest! All four of Mayflower's
      signature beers will be available within the next week or two, and our Hudson 
      location is hosting a Mayflower tasting on February 12, from 4:30-7 PM. Any 
      and all fansof fresh, local beer would be remiss if they missed this opportunity to
      sample and see what the hype is all about. Mayflower has something for
      everyone, their flagship, hoppy IPA, a slightly sweet and toasty Pale Ale
      brewed with a healthy dose of British hops, a crisp and easy-drinking Golden
      Ale, and a bittersweet-chocolatey, slightly-smokey Porter.
