Friday, March 15, 7-9pmGeologist Bruce Bjornstad, author of On the Trail of the Ice Age Floods, and On the Trail of the Ice Age Floods: The Northern Reaches, will be giving a presentation at the Wenatchee River Institute. The first of his books deals with the Mid-Columbia Basin and the second is devoted to northern Idaho and the Channeled Scablands area. Both serve as excellent guides to explore the geological features, trails and tours in these regions where we can witness what those awesome ancient floods have left behind. Location: 
 Friday, April 19, 7-8pm Derek Sheffield is a highly acclaimed poet and Wenatchee Valley College English professor. Through the Second Skin (January 2013) is his newly published book of poetry. Sheffield has received numerous awards and has lectured extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest. Several of his previously published poems include A Good Fish, The World’s Other Side, and To Do.
