Introducing guest designer Leah Fung!

Projects for Kits and Pieces.jpg

Leah worked with our Happy Day kit this month. We love what she did with it! She also answered a few questions about herself so we could get to know you better:

How did you get started scrapping?
I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago soon after my first son was born. I didn't even own a camera at the time. I had a disposable camera which someone gave to me. A neighbor of mine was a Creative Memories consultant and she convinced me to try scrapbooking. I never really considered myself artistic so I was hesitant to try it, but I immediately fell in love with this hobby.

My scrapping style tends to be detailed and dimensional… it’s just the way I scrap.  Despite my “core” style, I absolutely LOVE the look of clean, graphic pages (though I can’t create one to save my life!).  One day my dear friend, Sue Thomas (who happens to have one of those amazing graphic styles), and I were talking about how different our styles are and how differently we think.  What we discovered, bottom line, was that she thinks in LINES and I think in LAYERS.  Wow!  How cool!  How do you think about a page as you begin the design?  Are you a line thinker? Or a layer thinker? (continued)

We are thrilled to be able to welcome Kira McKee to the Kits & Pieces Team! Kira will be joining us as a DT member and will also be managing the message board. Kira has been a Kits & Pieces member from the beginning and a wonderful, friendly participant on our message board. Welcome, Kira!

Also, we unfortunately have to say goodbye to DT member Stephenie Hamen and (temporarily) to MB manager Jen Davis. Thank you both for your contribution to Kits & Pieces!
