Coastal Navigation (is tricky...)

Learn all the skills you'll need to confidently navigate coastal waters. The course is set to run on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm for 6 weeks.

Topics will include: the magnetic compass, use of the nautical chart, dead reckoning, various methods of fixing position, tides and tide tables, navigating in current, selection of anchorages, and rules of the road. *Optional ASA 105 certification.

Caribbean Cruising Courses

Cruising Courses will begin and end in Marigot, St. Martin, French West Indies. Each course runs from Saturday afternoon to Friday morning, so students can fly in Saturday, and fly out the following Friday - no need for a hotel!

The BSC is hosting the Atlantic Captain's Academy for USCG certifications starting 1/9/2012

OPERATOR OF UNINSPECTED PASSENGER VESSEL (6-Pak)

This license qualifies the operator to carry up to 6 passengers for hire on vessels up to 100 gross tons.

COURSE DATES

Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm on the Riverboat

Starting January 9, 2012 - running for 9 weeks

COURSE FEE

$889 - includes course materials and OUPV Exam

10% discount for BSC members
