Weddings? Events? Want an extra $50?
I do weddings and events on a regular basis, and am always scheduling more. Know someone who is getting married? Hosting a gala, or other event? Let them know to check me out. If they use me by your referral, I'll give you $50! See some of my wedding and events!
Spring Special! For a limited time, until the end of May, I am offering
you 20% off any print, for being a loyal supporter and newsletter
recipient. Had your eye on a print for a while? Want something that
isn't on the website? Let me know. Check out just some of the photos you can choose from now! Why are you receiving this newsletter? As a friend or patron, your support for my artwork is appreciated. This newsletter will arrive about once a month, to update you on the latest developments with my photography. Inspired by the Muppet's song, Can You Picture That is my photography website. I invite you to look through the website at your leisure, and stay tuned for upcoming events, new works, and other announcements which will be in these newsletters in the future. Recent Changes to the website include updating of the Blue Coal Breaker photos, a series I've been working on for a few years now. Also, most images on the site now have a copyrighted watermark embedded in them. More changes will be coming soon, and I will notify you of them in future newsletters. For a little background, my work is shot completely on film, with digital used to transfer images to the website. For those of you with technical inclinations, I shoot my color work primarily with slide film, Fuji Velvia and Provia, 50 and 100, and my black and white work using Ilford profressional films. Weddings and events are shot with the finest grain color negative film on the market, Kodak Portra, as well as Ilford for black and white. |

Matt's Photo Tip for April Flash Adjustments Often, especially with small point-and-shoot cameras, flashes tend to be too bright and harsh for small areas, such as out drinking, dancing, etc. Check your camera's settings or manual to find how to adjust your flash. Many cameras offer a "soft flash," or similar setting which can really help to improve your images in close quarters shooting. Watch this newsletter and the website for news on workshops and one on one lessons!
