Sign Up for Reel Girls Camp

Know any budding girls in middle school who might like to make a movie this summer? There are still spaces in our Reel Girls Make Movies (Aug. 6-10) camp at MMCTV. Here is the link for more info and to register.

SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS

This season of youth learning kicked off on July 11-13th with an animation workshop at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library (animation workshop, R top) and at Our Community Cares Camp next week.

MMCTV covered the Richmond July 4th parade, fireworks and fun. The event was set to the tunes of Cuban Bridge host Toni Basanta at Volunteers Green (R, middle, photo: Heidi Racht/Times Ink of Richmond).

Channel Manager Jim Hering recently produced a video tribute to Chief Alan Buck upon his retirement. In a nod to the chief's 35 episodes of the Richmond Police Beat, MMCTV asked Christopher Carfaro to make a special certificate dedicated to Buck's 40 years of service.

Stay tuned for MMCTV coverage of a June 22nd Sun Dog Poetry Center Poetry and Justice event at the Clemmons Farm in Charlotte devoted to African American poetry; we can't wait to share it with the world!

This summer Jan deVries is producing two more episodes of Two Towns Garden Tour featuring the gardens of Phil Cook and Lorraine Vorse.

MMCTV is delighted that field producer Matthew Pawlowski is back for the summer, to help us with covering local music.
