Musical Summer

What's summer without great outdoors music? MMCTV's Fisher Wagg and Matthew Pawlowski covered several great outdoors music shows at Mills Riverside Park this summer, among them the Milo White Band, King Me, Phil Henry and Gary Moon.

Field producer Erin Wagg also recorded the father/daughter Round Church concert featuring Dr. William Tortolano on organ and his daughter, Allegra Tortolano Havens on violin.

The Cuban Bridge is going strong, with trumpeter Glenn Wallace in the studio last month.

Media Education

We held our 2nd annual TV Camp July 25-29th. Angelike & Kim taught six middle school students - with key support from Jim, Ruth, Fisher, Gregg and Matthew. The young filmmakers produced projects such as a Post It Note animation, a mock commercial (for a foot fungus medicine), a live Cuban Bridge episode and short fiction films (Kyle is Dead and work-in-progress Wizards). The fun week was based both at MMCTV and the Richmond Free Library.

Earlier in the month we held video workshops for Our Community Cares Camp and Boy Scouts of Troop 627. The OCCC kids made horror film Rosie The Killer Clown, while the scouts made made two projects each for their Moviemaking and Animation badges.

Catch these vidoes on MMCTV Comcast 15 or online at www.vimeo.com/mmctv.
