Public access for Jericho, Richmond, Underhill and beyond
March 2015

Town Feedback

On Town Meeting Day, we videotaped 3 town meetings,  streaming one of them (Jericho) live, and also surveyed 74 folks about our station.

Kim, Jim and Angelike heard plenty of appreciation and  opinions. Turns out people want more meetings, news, sports, antique shows and sci-fi!

Just over a third of those surveyed in the 3 towns had Comcast cable; a number of people watched our videos exclusively online. Several people requested more schedule info, so here's the online link.

We'll do our best to live up to the public's expectations, including keeping the technical quality high and delivering content in new ways.

 100% Organic Videos

NOFA-VT's Gregg Stevens  covered the association's recent Winter Conference, an annual gathering of people devoted to making good, organic food happen.

You can find videos of the event, including Natasha Bowen's keynote talk The Color of Food (left) in this online album, on MMCTV Comcast 15, and on many other Vermont Access Network stations.

 Poetic Justice

No less than seven other public access TV stations in Vermont will be helping us create a series around the Sun Dog Poetry Center's exciting "Poets and Their Craft" lectures at 10 Vermont indie bookstores.
Here's a link to a video about the series.

Eight02 in Vergennes

The Valley Stage's Don Sheldon and volunteer Bryce Douglass are putting final touches on a concert video featuring band Darlingside.

Meanwhile, The Cuban Bridge's latest episode features Eight02 live in Vergennes (left).

Conservation Kudos

MMCTV took to the ice to record a celebration of Gillett Pond's acquisition by the Richmond Land Trust in this video.

Thanks to volunteer Al Rodgers, MMCTV will tape several upcoming Village University talks on the natural landscape and resources of Jericho (March Sundays, 2-4pm, at the Jericho Community Center.)
