MMCTV Meeting: Monday, April 11th

Ted, Ron, Peter and Tim, the good souls who are on our board, welcome the public to their quarterly meeting this Monday April 11th at 6:15pm at MMCTV (35 West Main St., Richmond).

Volunteers like our board keep us ticking. Please stop by to share your feedback, or just to listen in and enjoy the pizza.

Think Summer: MMCTV Video Camp 2016

MMCTV will be offering a week-long summer camp July 25th-29th for middle schoolers.  For the second year, it will be held at MMCTV and the Richmond Free Library from 10am-3pm. Kids will have fun while learning about video production.
Here's a link to a music video made at last year's camp.

The fee is $125 (Jericho/Underhill/Richmond residents) or $150 (non-residents). Scholarships are available.
Please email Angelike at mmc-tv@comcast.net for a registration form.

Inspired Productions

Great farm minds gathered at the recent NOFA-VT Winter Conference and local producer/NOFA-VT staffer Gregg Stevens recorded many of their thoughts, including three #farmstagram talks, where farmers offer social media tips.

Chris Carfaro  just completed his third Inkwell Vermont video calligraphy lesson. Stop by MMCTV to see his work, on display till April 30th.

Tony Basanta hosts another live Cuban Bridge show on April 26th at 6.30pm featuring Danielle O'Hallisey. The previous live show featured Lausanne Allen & Rick Ceballos.

Other recent cultural productions include a video of a P.M. Sundays show featuring Pat Donohue (thanks to volunteer Mike Lawler!) and history  talks on the Green Mountain Parkway and Richmond's Creamery.

VAN Video Challenge

Three teams from our area took part in the statewide VAN Video Challenge competition. The Richmond Elementary School made a hilarious parody on the 2016 elections. The Mount Mansfield Homeschool Cooperative made a spooky film about a mysterious creature. Budding filmmaker Nissi enlisted her parents to star in a very fun romantic comedy.

Each local entry had to abide to short film requirements, such as  a jar of olives and a special genre, to name a few.
