Creation & the Gospel

"Any gospel that leaves creation out, or does not preach the creative power of God, as seen in the things that He has made, and which does not comfort men by that power, calling upon them ever to keep it in mind as their only source of strength, is ‘another gospel,’ which is simply no gospel at all."

Thank You for the Bread

thank-you-for-the-breadRamon was a very quiet child.  He had lost his family at a very young age and lived in a children’s village for orphaned and abandoned children, operated by International Children’s Care.  He tried to cooperate with everything he was asked to do and did his best to fit in with the family.
Meal time was his favorite time of the day.  He would sit at the table and anxiously wait for his house mother to serve the food.  One day, the house mother noticed how Ramon would save some of his food and take it back to his room. She spoke with him about it... Read more

ASI Ministry Heralds Creation—A Vital End-Time Issue

creation-illustrated-magazineFor more than 20 years, Creation Illustrated magazine has shared God’s transforming power through life-changing, character-building parables with Adventist schools and teachers in North America, as well as with prisoners, homeschoolers, hospital chaplains, ASI member organizations and their employees, and subscribers in all 50 states and 30 foreign countries—including those of other faiths that make up about 55 percent of the magazine’s non-Adventist readership. Read more

wfl-guatamalaWater for Life Guatemala began its 2014 ministry season with a team of more than 23 volunteers who helped clean apartments, service equipment, replace vehicle batteries, inflate vehicle tires, and service 16 engines. Seventeen wells were also drilled at numerous sites, averaging 150 feet deep.

In December 2013, a team drilled a well in Las Lajas at a campground for the North Guatemala Mission of Seventh-day Adventists. In March, a special convocation was held there, with more than 800 people in attendance. A large, 90’ by 125’ building had been constructed, with bathrooms attached. Additional bathrooms were installed on the surrounding acreage, as well as a solar pump and several thousand feet of water and sewer pipe and sewer effluent line that will eventually serve the WFL office, which is still in the planning stages.

Evangelistic meetings and medical clinics were held at many of the WFL drill sites, building synergy and collaborative relationships between WFL and local residents, as well as with various government leaders. Those evangelistic efforts were built on a foundation laid by two Bible workers already working in the region. As a result, 13 people were baptized, with others to follow when they complete more Bible studies.

ASI special offering funds provided much-needed support for WFL’s 2014 mission to Guatemala. More stories will be told about that project in a future issue of Inside ASI magazine.
