 A Grande Finale Patisserie is going green and you can too! Today businesses and consumers alike have to be careful about the energy we use and the environment we want to protect and clean up. In our efforts to reduce our impact on the environment, A Grande Finale has implemented the following programs within our company-some of these can be applied in your own households as well:
- We recycle all plastic, cans, bottles, mixed paper, cardboard boxes, paperboard, newspapers and old phonebooks.
- We send email marketing campaigns in place of direct mail pieces.
- We compost all coffee grounds, eggshells and fruit peels. (If anyone would like some-let us know!)
- We buy local-saves transportation costs and supports the local economy.
- We utilize all pastry products when making our desserts, creating no waste.
- We re-use all envelopes received from direct mail solicitation instead of throwing them away.
- We turn some of our lights off during the day when the sunlight is enough.
- We use reusable glasses, plates and utensils if customers are consuming our products in house.
- We print double sided on paper and use all junk mail for scrap paper.
- We refill or recycle all toner and inkjet cartridges.
- We use energy efficiant light bulbs where possible.
- We reuse all packaging materials and packaging boxes to ship our Desserts.
We know we have along way to go, but we will continue to implement more programs in order to REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE. If you've go some ideas, let us know how you're going green!
