Giving-there are many ways you can easily make a difference. Every year when the Holiday Season comes around, we generously open our hearts a bit more by giving to those who are less fortunate than us. As we all struggle to make ends meet in this tough economy it's important keep the giving going year round.
Giving can come in many forms and below are a few examples of ways all of us can make a difference in someone else's life for little or no money:
~Donate your time and volunteer- www.volunteermatch.org is a good place to start. ~Shovel your neighbors driveway. ~Pay the toll for the car behind you at the toll booth ~Give a dessert to one of your co-workers ~Place a note saying "Have a Great Day!" with your child's school books or in your spouse's pocket. ~Pay for the coffee of the person behind you at your local coffee shop ~Give a stranger a smile ~Donate Blood to your local blood bank. Find one near you at www.givelife.org ~Pay someone a compliment ~Spend the afternoon with a friend ~Call your Mother-just to tell her you love her!
Remember, the smallest thing can make a difference in changing someone's day... and it may change yours as well.
If you have any ideas for giving, we'd love to hear them!
