Since January I have been very busy getting up to date on all the latest in social networking and technology. I know many of you are already using Facebook, Myspace and Twitter for news, information sharing and friendship...and now I am too.
These pages are little more interactive than web sites and are lots of fun to use. In fact, while we were working on updating my web site, some of you posted comments on my Facebook page to let me know what features you liked and what you wanted to see more of, and what you didn’t like. Thank you so much; I always appreciate your feedback!

Ten years ago I collaborated with singer/songwriters Cathie Ryan and Susan McKeown on a innovative recording project called “Mother”. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time. Susan had lost her own mother to cancer while just a young girl, and Cathie had a teenage son.  We worked on writing and finding songs that expressed our experiences with our own mothers---the good, the bad, the sad, and the funny as well as our own feelings about motherhood. “Mother: Songs Celebrating Mothers and Motherhood” was the result. The CD is 1/3 Celtic, 1/3 instrumentals and 1/3 original songs. A perennial favorite around Mother’s Day, the CD is no longer in print. I have a limited number of copies available. I am working on a new project that involves piano performance and moving images. WANTED: video clips (either a link or on a DVD in the mail) of your fabulous felines doing funny things. By submitting your DVD you are granting me permission to show your images within a montage during a performance. If you live in these states (or their border states) and are interested in HOSTING a concert, let’s talk. I have joined the network www.concertsinyourhome.com which helps facilitate house concerts, but I like to call my particular form of house concert a “Piano Parlour Soiree” (and as you may know, I composed a song of that title inspired by my concerts in a beautiful ballroom in Newport, Rhode Island.) 

If you would like to host a piano soiree for your friends, or as a fundraiser or to honor that special someone, you’ll be surprised to know that the requirements are fairly simple—the most important of which are a baby grand or grand piano in good tune and space for 25-75 to listen.
