Hello all,

After a lot of blood, sweat and tears, Snap Judgment has just finished their last batch of stories and we are going weekly at NPR stations across the nation starting July 15th! But that means starting all over again with brand-new themes and stories. And we need your ideas to make it happen.

Here are Snap Judgment's upcoming themes that we need pitches for:

UPCOMING THEMES:

BUREAUCRACY: When The System's got you down. You may be stuck in the DMV, the courtroom or under house arrest--with no end in sight because The Man's hiding the paperwork for your escape.

ROAD TRIP: Classic and crazy travel tales. What it is to be on the road.

FAMILY TIME: Some families sit around the dinner table to talk. Others have board game night. And yet others put on stormtrooper outfits and roleplay Star Wars scenes. Funny, touching and unusual stories about family bonding.

A PRIORI: When Dave woke up to a houseful of raccoons, something deep inside him--some instinct, some animal--rose up and gave him powers he didn't know he had. Stories about the primal talents we possess that we aren't even aware of until they manifest themselves in mysterious and awesome ways.

ROUGHING IT: Living without. Maybe it's without food, shelter, water...or a Wireless connection. Stories about survival.

OLDER THEMES WE STILL NEED STORIES FOR:

BREAKING IN: How somebody gets that big break. Need to get into the cool clique? Or score that sweet promotion? The lengths we go to in order to get where we want to be.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS: Bar Mitzvahs, weddings, adulthood in general--our plans for how our lives are supposed to turn out often do not coincide with the actual results. Stories of expectations gone askew.

BUSTED: Dramatic, exciting and crazy stories about getting caught in the act.

THE WIZARD OF OZ: This is a bit open-ended. We need four separate stories: someone who finds a heart, someone who finds courage, someone who finds a brain and someone who finds home. It would be preferable if these people would somehow realize that they had those attributes within them the whole time.

Thanks so much. We're so looking forward to hearing your stories! Email your pitches to pitches@snapjudgment.org. For radio producers: please inform us that you are a producer and we will send you info about rates. We would appreciate if you kept ptiches short--one page max. And before you do, do us a quickie and run your story by our flowchart, below. In the meantime, check out our stories at our website and subscribe to our podcast on iTunes.

Peace, love and snap props!
