Picture of the Month — March 2010
Local Residents, Plaça de la Font, Tarragona Tarragona was a lovely town in Southern Spain set against terrific Roman ruins. My favorite part of any European town is usually the plaza where people live their lives out in public. We're not particularly good at living this way in The United States, and that makes this all the more interesting to me. And so I roam courtyards with my camera looking for bits of life to capture. Here in Tarragona I got particularly lucky as this middle aged man regaled three elderly women with a story that clearly called for animation. ... |

Jesse spent 24 hours in Chicago last fall and he reports having sunshine for three of those. "I do love the architecture in Chicago," Jesse says, noting that he got his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, just north of Chicago. "We're working on plans to return to Chicago soon," Jesse reports, adding that possible jobs will have him shooting there this spring. Jesse spent some time in London and has wonderful new images to show for it. "Our first of four days in town we had sunshine," Jesse laughs. "Only I didn't appreciate just how remarkable that was." Despite forecasts calling for clear weather, the clouds came in and Jesse had limited shooting time during the remainder of his visit. "Still, the kids had fun and I found things to photograph, so it was all good." Other Recent Additions
