Do
the math. We need 1.4 billion gallons per day just to meet today’s needs. Factor
in rapid growth, recent droughts and the lack of leadership attention to water
issues and you have the makings of a major water crisis in our state.
What are we going to do about it?
NC SPIN, North Carolina’s only independently produced statewide TV and radio talk show, is presenting a 1-day conference devoted entirely to water, including subjects like:
• Who owns the water? • Can anything be done about supply and demand? • How does water impact economic development? • What role should government play in water issues? • How can we finance water systems? • What are practical solutions to our issues?
NC H20 will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Brownstone Hotel in Raleigh. A distinguished list of North Carolina’s “Who’s Who in Water” will make formal presentations and participate in significant panel discussions. Unlike many conferences the audience also contributes.
